Swim For Bonnie

Hello,

l’m Tara and I’m 52yrs old.

I’ve given myself a challenge to swim in a 25 metre swimming pool.

To Swim 21 miles the equivalent distances of the English Channel,between England and France.

To achieve this l will Swim 63 Lengths.

That’s equivalent to 1 mile, in an outside Pool ( Arundel Lido).

My Total distance lengths are 1,323 (21 miles)

My reason behind this is to make people aware of Poems Syndrome, and to Raise Money for my beautiful,caring cousin Bonnie,who is currently suffering from Poems Syndrome.

It’s taken over 5 years to diagnosis her condition..

Bonnie has gone through

Extraction of her bone barrow.

Lumbar puncture

Pet Scan

Cat Scan

MRI

Over the 5yrs Bonnie has lost sensation in her legs.

Swelling behind her eyes

Internal Organs Enlarged

Lymph Node Enlarged.

Finally they had it diagnosed this year as Poems Syndrome,which is extremely rare,

Unfortunately most doctors haven’t a clue.

Bonnie started on the 1st September

10 rounds of Chemotherapy.

Followed on by Stem Cell treatment where she will be in UCL London for 2wks.

Unfortunately this will make Bonnie very sick and she will lose her hair.

I would love to raise enough money for Bonnie to have a human hair Wig..

I have set up a go fund me account to help with the cost of the wig .
