Washington Food Banks Island Swim
Tax deductible
We are 3 siblings in middle and high school who would like to make a difference to those who are struggling to provide for their families during this time of crisis. On Saturday June 13th, weather allowing, we will be attempting to complete the 14.6 mile relay open water swim around our home of Mercer Island on Lake Washington. Food Lifeline provides food and money donations to over 300 food banks in western Washington. During the pandemic many people have lost their only source of income meaning that they cannot afford to buy food for themselves and their families. Food banks have seen a dramatic uptick in the amount of people that they are helping and we would like to play our part in ensuring that they have the right resources for this to continue. Please share #swimforfoodbanks on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and follow @micharityswim for updates on the day.
