On the 21st December our 14 year old son James will be swimming 5 miles to raise funds towards treatment for his cousin Lily Wythe.
Lily was diagnosed with a brain tumour in October at the age of just 13 and has bravely undergone radiotherapy and a course of steroids. Due to the location of the tumour between the base of her skull and the top of her spine, surgery is not an option.
The treatment she desperately requires is not currently available in the UK and it has therefore become necessary for the family to widen their search, to the USA, where a suitable treatment is available.
There are currently a number of fundraising activities for Lily in the strive to reach a target of £ 300,000
This is where you, and we, come in to help them reach their goal.
On Saturday 21st December, James will be swimming 5 miles (150 lengths of a full size Olympic pool)to raise as much money as he can.
We have set the target at £ 1,500 but would ideally love to exceed that.
Please help us, to help Lily by making a donation, however small, so that we can assist her in overcoming this dreadful disease.
