Swim (Short Film)

Swim is a short film centering three women and their relationships to each other and the environment, most importantly, the sea. It is about the reliability and consistency of these relationships, because no matter what storms are brewing they will always be there for each other, just as the sea is.

We were very grateful to initially recieve funding for the production of this project by Art House Jersey. This enabled us to write, shoot and edit the film. We were able to use this money to give a small fee to most of the crew involved, which was really important to us in showing our appreciation to young creative professionals.

We are currently in the post-production stage of Swim, and are using this page to crowdfund in order to raise funds for Film Festival submissions, nationally and internationally. This is a first for us, as emerging filmmakers and we feel is also a fantastic way to show Jersey (where the film is set) off to the world!

We are also aiming to use this fund in order to push us through the editing stage. We will dedicate part of any funds raised, match funding £450 which was granted to us by Art House Jersey to pay our grader and composer and to get us through post-production.

Unfortunately, applying for film festivals can be expensive and from research, the better the festival, the more expensive! It costs £15 - £70 per film festival submission. We have also created a list of 15 of our top festivals that we would love to apply for, all at a variety of prices. We will use any remaining funds to apply for as many as possible.

Manchester Film Festival (MANIFF) - £70
