Swimming for Antiguan Youth Sailors

Swimming for Sailing: can you help to get youth sailors competing abroad!?
Heather Cooper will be swimming to Green Island and back on the 5th June to raise funds to get our youth sailors overseas.
We have had a lot of young talent venturing onto the water over the last few years. A fantastic improvement from previous years. Our young Antiguan sailors are eager to represent the country on the world stage! However, there is a continual challenge of being able to give this young talent from the Antigua Yacht Club access to international competition.
Funding is a crucial part of their success, and without it getting to the competition is out of the question.
As an avid sailor who started at a similar age to some of the team and as Advisory Council to charity EquitySport, a charity advocating equality in sport and promoting access for ALL to sport, I feel compelled to try and help.
The swim will be a challenge of 5km or more, depending on the conditions. The distance itself will not be the only challenge for me personally.
Please give any amount you can. The youngsters and I (Heather) will be so grateful for your generosity to help get them to their next competition- World Optimist Championships in Turkey and beyond!
