The BloodShed Crime Fiction Festival and Swindon Story Shed

Support from our sponsors will help us provide low cost tickets to access to our first local crime fiction festival, The BloodShed, featuring panel interviews and writing workshops with published crime authors from across the UK!

We aim to make the connection between readers and authors more accessible to a wider range of people, improving literacy and engagement.

Any excess funds will go towards ensuring the future of the Swindon Story Shed literacy project.

ABOUT US

Swindon Story Shed is a small independent business that depends on your support to provide literacy outreach to the local area.

We are a travelling bookshop that travels into community spaces to sell new and secondhand books, as well as providing a free book swap service.

We offer literacy workshops in art, creative writing, sound, and drama.

Our Access Fund provides a minimum of two FREE spaces on every workshop, so no one is ever excluded on the basis of their finances. With your support, we hope to be able to offer more venues and more free spaces, to increase our reach and provide opportunities to those who may not otherwise be able to access them.*
