Hi! I’m Bethany and I’m 25, I was born with a cleft lip palate causing multiple teeth is missing spots and places they shouldn’t

due to the cleft causing my gum in my top mouth to not form it has made the alignment of my gum and teeth

going through life this has caused serve pain and discomfort from teeth breaking to gums bleeding and teeth growing in places they shouldn’t, when I was younger most teeth were steel capped to help them stay strong but as I’ve gotten older they have gotten weaker.

As I’ve grown up I have lost many teeth and attempted many dentist appointments with no hope as I go into my adult life it’s something that is needing to be fixed due to issues with eating and pain as well as just overall confidence issues.

I have started the process of looking into getting my teeth fixed and after multiple dentist appointments my only option is to have all my remaining teeth taken out and implants put in, which is very very pricey so far it is a total of 54 thousand dollars, I’m hoping to finace this but with this comes separate fees not included I would love to wake up and look in the mirror and be happy with what I see and feel like the 20+ surgeries as a newborn to child age would all be worth it :)

what is a cleft?

“Cleft lip is a birth defect in which a baby's upper lip doesn't form completely and has an opening in it. Cleft palate is a birth defect in which a baby's palate (roof of the mouth) doesn't form completely and has an opening in it. These birth defects are called oral clefts or orofacial clefts”
