A message from Troy University Nepalese Student Association.
We are writing this in urgency regarding the catastrophic earthquake of 7.9 magnitude that hit Nepal on Saturday, April 25th. At this moment, more than 4000 people have been reported dead and the death toll continues to rise. Many of their houses have been destroyed, our people are living in tents, with no food. Tele-communication, electricity, etc. is difficult. Hundreds of children and their families are missing. Our historic buildings are down to rubbles and the monuments listed in world heritage sites aren’t there anymore.
Nepal, being a developing country with the second lowest per- capita spending power in Asia, does not have enough resources to fight back this sudden emergency. Hence, we are starting this campaign.
In Nepal $1=Rs.100, so even a $1 can make a big difference.
I am Sahil Hamal and I am the President of Troy Nepalese Student Association. I am collecting this money on behalf of Troy Nepalese Student Association and is monitored by Troy University International Office. The collected amount will be donated to Red Cross Society in Nepal.
For any concerns, contact [email redacted]
