Face Masks for Everyone

Donation protected
It started out making masks for a few people that worked for a local hospital... Jennifer, a furloughed professional seamstress, felt that she needed to do something for the medical staff that were running frighteningly low on PPE. Cloth masks were not the same as an N95 mask, but it could be used as a cover for the N95 to help them last longer. She had extra fabric stored for future projects that she could use.  The need for masks went from 20 here and 50 there locally, to hundreds needed across the nation. As she used up her personal stash of fabric, elastic, bias and thread, friends and family donated their own stashes. She discovered a sewing group online as a resource for not only for people in need of masks, but a provider of materials and group support for those sewing. There is still an incredible need for masks in underprivileged communities across America. Low income families, Native American Reservations, and rural communities are primary concerns for her. Her friends decided to make this GoFundMe  page to help support her and her 7 year old daughter. As a theater professional, there is little to no work as shows across America closed in March and will be dark for the foreseeable future. We would like to raise money for not only extra mask supplies, but to give them that extra cushion they lost due to COVID-19. We would be forever grateful for any support you could contribute to Jennifer's efforts.
