Please help my Mom

Hi Everyone,
I'm writing this on behalf of my mother, Maggie. She is the rock of our family, a great mother to me and my brother, a wonderful grandmother to her three young grandchildren (ages 12yr, 3yr and 8 months) and wife to Joe.
In June this year she was diagnosed with Stage 1B Hodgkin's Lymphoma. In July and continued through the fall she underwent ABVD chemotherapy that took a toll on her body and left her very weak. She went to the doctor for further examination and they found she was also suffering from IBM (Inclusion Body Myositis) which is a disease of your muscles that leaves them weak and inflamed.
Dealing with cancer has been rough but my mom has been very positive as her cancer treatment is working and she knows she has a great chance of recovery. However, dealing with Myositis during cancer treatment is so overwhelming and stressful. Myositis causes muscle weakness that makes it so difficult to walk, to get up from a seated position, loss of standing balance as well as muscle pain and extreme fatigue. I’ve watched my mom sitting in the floor with her grandkids and being unable to get up without someone pulling her up off the floor, I’ve seen her tripping and falling and crawling to the sofa to climb up off the floor. There are days when her arms are so weak, she can’t raise them above her head and the muscle weakness in her body is steadily getting worse.
Despite many appeals my mother’s insurance company will not cover IV Immunoglobulin therapy to treat the Myositis because she had to discontinue the steroid therapy due to her body failing from the horrible debilitating side effects.
We are asking for any help you are willing and able to give toward her medical treatments. We desperately want our mom, grandmother and wife back to her "full of life" normal self. My mom is always looking out for everyone else and we want to do what we can to now care for her in the most difficult time of her life.
Thank you and bless you all.
Love
Vanessa, Layla & Joe
My mother with Joe, her husband of 15 years.
Even when my mom is physically weak from her treatments she always has time to be with her only granddaughter, my sweet daughter Layla and always with a smile on her face.
