Help Myco Battle Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Hello friends and families,
On May 8, Myco's parents rushed him to the hospital due to a high fever. It was suspected to be Dengue. Because of the pandemic, around 7 hospitals rejected him until De Los Santos Medical Centre finally admitted him. He is currently in the Philippines. Upon being admitted, he badly needed to have 2 units of blood (type A+) for blood transfusion.
Myco was scheduled for a Bone Marrow Aspiration on May 9. He was crying and asking for mommy because it was so painful. After the procedure, our deepest fear was confirmed: Myco has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just 4 years old.
This devastating diagnosis not only means it will take a tremendous toll mentally and emotionally but also financially. The family already racked up a bill of ₱220,000+ (approx. $6200) just from their 3-day stay in the hospital and lab testings.
Myco's doctors are discussing procedures with his parents, Mara and Jevin to help their son fight this leukemia. Myco will need to undergo chemotherapy sessions. The estimate cost for this is ₱1,200,000+ (approx.$31,000)
We all believe that Myco will be able to fight leukemia! We are sincerely asking for anyone that stumbles into this campaign to help us. Please donate whatever you can. Every bit of donation will be a great help. Please keep sharing this to your friends and family. We all thank you.
