Sydnee Townsend and Family

Donation protected
On August 23rd, 16 year old, Sydnee Townsend was involved in an awful and tragic car accident. She was ejected from the vehicle, and suffered severe injuries that will take a village and an abundance of time to recover from. Sydnee suffered a broken back and complete spinal cord injury, and is fighting daily for her recovery! Our family is remaining hopeful and feeling blessed to still have her! She is making amazing progress, so far. Sydnee is spending hours doing physical therapy daily at her current hospital, and is transferring to a new location to undergo a rigorous physical therapy program that could last anywhere from 6-9 weeks. This program will teach her as well as her family members to cope and adjust to the new normal.

Sydnee is a funny, charismatic, and kind young woman with lots of sass and determination to overcome these hindrances. This tragedy will forever change her and her life, though, and we are organizing this fundraiser to ask for the communities help in easing the financial stressors of hospital bills - but also transportation and hotel costs so that the entire family can focus on healing and getting Sydnee home. If there is any way you are able to contribute financially, that would be a huge blessing. Please pray for Syd and the family during this time, and the recovery time to follow!
