My Volunteer Trip to Ho Chi Minh

I am planning on going on a volunteer trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam in June to work in the public hospital there shadowing a Vietnamese Medical practitioner. The hospital I will be be working at serves the underprivileged community of Ho Chi Minh City and it relies greatly on it's international volunteers for aid as it is very understaffed and underfunded.  The public health sector of Vietnam has very little money and does not even come close to meeting the basic health standards that our first world has been priveleged with. The hospitals are underfunded, over populated and lack even some of the most basic medical supplies. 

I am very passionate about helping the world around me. From a very young age, my parents have had me involved in volunteering and philanthropic work. Working with underprivileged children has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and doing this Volunteer trip would bring me one step closer to pursuing my life long dream of working with under privileged communities and people  at home and abroad. This would also give me an amazing opportunity to give back to the world around me. 

All money donated will go towards helping me fund my trip as well as providing medical supplies to the Hospital that I will be working at.
