More information about Epilepsy Foundation: Our Mission: The Epilepsy Foundation is a national, charitable organization founded in 1968. The Epilepsy Foundation will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through research, education, advocacy and services. Our national office is in Landover, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Approximately 60 affiliated Epilepsy Foundations serve people with seizures, and their families, in hundreds of communities nationwide.
