Hey, everyone! My name is Destiny. I’m Danielle’s little sister. I truly appreciate you all taking the time to read Sylis’s story.
Danielle has two sweet little boys. Noah and Sylis. Noah lives with his father and Sylis was in his mother’s custody. As most of you know Danielle was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2019. Sadly, she lost her battle with cancer October 3, 2023.
Now we are asking for your help. We need your help more than ever before. Due to unforeseen and soul shaking circumstances my Mother and I have gained emergency custody of Danielle’s youngest son (my nephew) Sylis.
Here is the REAL story of why we are here today.
The day of Danielle’s death we took Sylis home with us. We had thought he was just grieving and wanted to be with family. Little did we know the truth of why he wanted to come home with us that night. Sylis had spoken with my mom and I informing us that he couldn’t go back home. When asked “why?” Sylis felt he needed to confide in us as to what he was experiencing behind closed doors. The fear we felt rolling off him as he went through every detail was absolutely heart breaking.
Sylis is experiencing serious side effects of his anxiety, ripping his hair out, loss of appetite and sleep. At this point were unable to fully go into the details of the abuse he had suffered until the investigations are done.
Danielle’s “husband” currently has a gofundme account that has raised thousands of dollars to help provide him time off of work while still supporting ‘the kids’.
Sylis hasn’t received any of the donations raised on her behalf and yet he continues to raise funds under the guise that Danielle’s children would be financially provided for.
When we gained physical Custody of Sylis he was left with very little. He lacked the basic essentials. Mainly clothes that fit him adequately and school supplies. There is a transitional period for insurance and Social Security Benefits so we will be paying for doctor visits and therapy out of pocket until the state can catch up.
With that being said, all of your donations will be going DIRECTLY towards meeting Sylis’s immediate needs.
My family, Sylis and I appreciate and love you all so much. Thank you so much for the support.
