Sylvanne Fund

On Monday October 23rd our beloved nanny, Sylvanne, who cared for our ten month old everyday from the time he was three months old and instantly became part of our family, suddenly fell ill and took herself to the doctor and was then admitted to the hospital. As they ran tests day after day, she was still unclear what was going on and could not get the answers she needed. That Thursday, her only child, her son Nigel, called us to tell us things had escalated quickly and her liver was failing, due to either an underlying autoimmune issue or from her prescribed medication she took for arthritis. Josh and I immediately went to see her in the hospital where she was unconscious. The doctors told us there was nothing they could do. Sylvanne fought for days, as her body and other organs continued to fail. On October 31st in the middle of the night, Sylvanne tragically passed away. To say we are devastated is an understatement.

Her son Nigel is now left to pick up the pieces, make arrangements on his own, and figure out how to go on in life. He is a young man who lived with his mother and relied on her. Sylvanne loved Nigel more than anything in this world.

Our ask is that our cherished network can help however they can so that Nigel can afford arrangements and to figure out his next steps as he grieves his beloved mother who passed so unbelievably suddenly. He will likely have to uproot his life and we are hoping to help him as much as we can.
