Sylvia Southard's Medical Bill
Donation protected
My name is Rachel Southard. My mom, Sylvia Southard, has Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Two weeks ago, she ran out of her medication and she didn't rush to go get it refilled. This past week, she had been feeling ill and thought it may have been the flu. Personally, I didn't think it was the flu because it didn't explain her inability to even keep her eyes open and speak.
Then Saturday, November 5th, I came home from work and my mom was lifeless. This is when I found it absolutely necessary to take her to Urgent Care. That day, we found ourselves in the Emergency Room with a doctor telling us how high her blood glucose was and how sick she was. The entire weekend, they have been pumping her with fluids to hydrate her and insulin to get her glucose levels back in range.
Unfortunately, we don't have insurance. The ICU stay and all the wonderful care she received comes with a price. I understand that not everyone is fortunate enough to donate, but even just commenting a positive message for her to read when she gets out of the hospital would be nice. Anything helps.
If you've met my mom, you'd know she puts everyone before herself and has the biggest heart. She truly doesn't deserve this, but from now on, we are collectively going to ensure that she puts herself and her health first!! I need my mom. I couldn't imagine a life without her.
Thank you for any donations or positive messages.
