Symmons' Fundraiser Supporting Hope for Haiti
On Saturday, August 14, 2021, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Haiti causing widespread mental and physical destruction in the Caribbean country. At least two cities, Les Cayes and Jeremi, reported major devastation.
More than 2,000 people were killed in Saturday’s powerful earthquake, 12,000+ people have been left injured and 332 are still missing. Haitian officials estimate there are 600,000 people in need of emergency assistance.
The concern and anguish impacts many of our Symmons Haitian team members. Many have family and friends who have been impacted by the devastation. Together let’s help raise much needed funds to support the earthquake relief efforts.
Symmons has created a GoFundMe fundraiser to support fundraising efforts. We elected to send all funds raised to a non-profit organization, Hope For Haiti. The mission of the organization is to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people, through education, healthcare, water, infrastructure and economy.
Symmons will be matching 100% of all contributions made by our employees. Our intentions would be to collect donations through Friday, September 3, 2021. We thank you for your kindness in advance.
