Syrian Refugees Blanket Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Dena Al-Nakeeb, an Iraqi- Irish woman living in London. Amman, Jordan was my home town, and is now home to the largest number of Syrians living in Refugee camps (currently 800,000).
As you are all aware, winter has arrived in Jordan (as well as London in my case!). Although the Arabian deserts are known for their scorching heat waves, they are also renowned for their near freezing winter season.
The donations raised will be used in the buying of blankets for the Syrian Refugees based in Jordan. The blankets are being purchased from the Armed Forces factory, in Zarqa. The blankets are of high grade quality, and super warm. Each blanket will cost roughly £7.
The closing date for fundraising will be Sunday 11th December, as we would like to supply the blankets around the middle of December.
