#SYSTRONG Rally for Sydney

On Wednesday, May 23rd, Sydney was rushed to the Randall Children's Hospital (Emmanuel) in Portland, Oregon. After several tests it was found that she had bleeding on the brain. She was immediately taken into surgery to relieve the pressure and stop the bleeding. Additional tests revealed a brain aneurism relating to an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) which is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. After a subsequent surgery to relieve additional pressure and bleeding, a much more in-depth procedure over many hours was performed on Thursday night to repair damaged areas and to remove as much of the AVM as possible. Since this time, Sydney has been in a medically induced coma to help give her body a break and to allow it to begin the healing process. It is expected that her attending physicians will begin evaluating her condition and affects of the trauma she has undergone. Her parents, Joe and Tina Sullivan have been at her side during this time, and with their other children Giles, Davis, and McCartney, they in unity remain anchors of resilience, faith, love, and devotion.
One can only imagine the challenges that await Sydney and her family. The burden of this uncertainty will be challenging but they are overwhelmed with the tremendous amount of love, support, prayers, and thoughts during this challenging time.
As friends and family, we are starting this campaign to help assist the family with the mounting burdens that they will indeed face. While joining us as torchbearers of this campaign by promoting it within your circles of influence through social media and any other ways feasible, we encourage you to contribute to this fundraiser in any way you can.
Collected funds will go directly to the Sydney Sullivan family for use at their discretion.
As the family releases updates to Sydney's condition, they will also be included here.
