Family business in need!

My name is Joe. Me and my Grandma JoAnn wake up early every morning and work hard to make home made craft hot dogs and baked desserts here at the Hot Dog Works in Cherry Grove, Sc. The recent flood caused by hurricane Ian brought almost a foot of water with it to the inside walls of our beloved Hot Dog Works and has caused us to close our doors. Unfortunately the bills don’t stop when you close the doors and we (like many small business owners (thanks inflation)) are strapped for extra cash. The water ruined multiple pieces of equipment including our dough mixer, one of our fridges, and much of our product. Things we cannot open without. The (boring but dire) situation is: We are currently paying off a debt we incurred in 2021 on our sales tax and now find ourself forced to choose to either try to pay this months sales tax+interest, or default on our payment plan and use our money to instead try to buy/repair the stuff that we need in order to operate again. Anybody that knows us knows we are the giving type (and obviously very modest) and hate asking for handouts, but we have run out of options. I worry that without some extra help or some kind of miracle we might lose our retail license and be forced to close until we pay off the full debt on our sales tax. There are so many people that were effected worse than us by this storm and we are so grateful every day that it wasn’t worse than it was for us, but that doesn’t make our situation any less difficult.
