Cypriot Child - Lymphangiomatosis
Donation protected
Lampros, a little boy from Cyprus, is 4 1/2 years old and has spent most of his life in and out of intensive care at Tel Hashomer-Sheba Hospital near Tel Aviv. His parents, Pantelis and Christina, have been with him, and for the past 4 years have been unemployed. The cost of treatment is covered by the Republic of Cyprus, and the family subsists on loans, family and friend contributions, and the occasional fund raiser.
Lampros suffers from a very rare disorder (General Lymphangiomatosis) which has various complications and symptoms. The behavior of the disease is erratic and at this moment it has flared up; which is resulting in expedited action and transfer to the US.
At the US, more specifically at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Yoav Dori has developed a novel procedure which addresses some of the main problems/symptoms of the disease. As such, a decision has been made to medevac the boy to CHOP for the procedure in Late December 2015 - January 2016.
The family can use your help. Any donation is greatly appreciated and tax deductible.
