Hi!
My name is Taylor Bos. I’m a single mom of a wonderful 2 year old boy named Ryan. A few weeks ago, my worst nightmare as a parent came true.
On Wednesday June 20th, 2018, I dropped Ryan off at daycare like an ordinary day. Shortly there after I was informed there was a “squishy bump” on his head. I rushed back and brought him to urgent care immediately. There was clearly some fluid collection and no explanation as to why. After about 5 hours in the emergency room and a CT scan, I was told my toddler had a fractured skull and intracranial hemorrhaging. The bump on his head was a large hematoma you could cup in your hand.
Ryan and I were transported to a hospital 45 minutes away via ambulance and then placed into the trauma unit. We spent the night at this hospital on the pediatric floor while various invasive tests were conducted on him. At this point it cannot be determined as accidental or non-accidental.
Every parent’s nightmare had become our reality. My son had been injured while out of my care and I was not there to help him. I’m writing this because our family is in need of help and support. I have cleared out checking and savings accounts for this but the medical bills from two separate hospitals, an ambulance ride, and lawyers are a steep price. Please help where you can and help us get justice for Ryan.
