Help Amy Fight Breast Cancer ❤️
Donation protected
Hi, my name is April and I am fundraising for my sister Amy. Amy was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer 6 months ago at the age of 50. She started chemotherapy in May and completed a few cycles before the chemotherapy started affecting her heart. After stopping chemo for a month to allow her heart to recover, she was able to complete a few more cycles when the chemo began affecting her heart again. Amy is currently in surgery, while I write this, getting a mastectomy.
Prior to her breast cancer diagnosis, Amy was an avid runner — completing 25 marathons. She has been a devoted Kindergarten/1st grade teacher for the last 25 years. She has 2 beautiful daughters and was recently divorced. She was working 2 jobs to make ends meet. Now she is unable to work.
Amy has always been there for me — now it is my turn to be there for her. All donations will be used for medical/housing/food expenses so she can focus on her recovery without having to worry about her inability to work.
Every little bit helps, and no amount is too small. If you are unable to donate, please keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers as she fights this horrible disease that took the life of our grandmother years ago.
Let’s help Amy get healthy again, back to running and teaching our future generation!
Please share this fundraising effort with your friends and family. And, please, get your annual mammogram.
