It is impossible to express words that fully describe this one-in-a-million human. If you were fortunate enough to know Jack you would never forget him. He excelled as a scholar, athlete, teammate and most importantly will be remembered as a great friend. He was a selfless young man who lifted those around him by simply being his true self. There was nothing that Jack couldn’t do and this example empowered the people around him.
Jack expressed on numerous occasions how much he wanted the Varsity Boys to have new boats. The Jack Newhall Memorial Boat Fund will allow the purchase of a new 8+. This boat will be named in Jack's memory and allow his energy, enthusiasm and friendship to be part of a winning Chicago Rowing Foundation Varsity Boys team. Forever in our hearts, as one.
