Kevin Barnard's Medical Expenses

Our great friend, colleague and mentor, Kevin Barnard, Theater Director at North St. Paul High School, The Current Show Choir Director at Waconia High School and Summer Camp Program Director at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, has been a significant part of our communities. He has positively impacted us all with his love for the arts and sharing that passion with the next generation.

On October 24th, Kevin was hospitalized in the ICU for ongoing seizures that doctors initially thought were due to high blood sugar. However, after running more tests, they discovered a meningioma brain tumor contributing to the seizures. This kind of tumor is typically noncancerous and curable with surgery. If the tumor growth is slow, he can have surgery in March. However, if it grows at a faster rate, he will need to have surgery sooner. Kevin was released from the hospital and is recovering from the side effects of the seizures at his brother’s home in Chaska. We will provide updates on his health as they become available.

Between the ICU hospitalization, the upcoming surgery and the uncertainty of when he can return to work, Kevin needs help from the communities he’s given his all to for so many years.
