George's Top Surgery fund

I originally made this fund 2021 to help raise money for top surgery but due to a huge host of reasons I stopped. Accessing gender affirming surgery means choosing yourself every day and that is often really, really hard. It's hard to prioritise yourself when it feels like that version of you will cause so much upheaval.

I spoke to a wonderful and perceptive person about 'the ways in which I can be' that mean I don't have to get top surgery and he pointed out that all of my plan's were to masculinise- I was just trying to find the most palatable way of doing it. I spoke to my sister about being unsure about getting surgery for years because of being afraid of the emotional repercussions and she said if I'm not sure I shouldn't do it. I knew then that I had to, the thought of ignoring this for another three years for the preservation of other people's perceptions of me feels unbearable.

Choosing myself is really hard but right now, I choose myself nonetheless.
