Brandy’s Battle

Hi, my name is Mia and I’m fundraising for Brandy Schmidt. For those of you that have had a chance to know Brandy, I know there aren’t enough good things you could say about her. For those of you that haven’t had a chance to meet her, well let’s just say she’s the kind of friend that would do anything for anyone. In April Brandy ran 80 km for cancer research fundraising efforts, has done the Run For the Cure four times, and has donated 50 inches of her hair to make wigs for those effected by cancer. She helped care for her mom when she underwent cancer treatment while going to nursing school. Not only is she a great friend and family member but she’s an amazing nurse that brings joy to others and gives back to our community. Brandy is a loving wife and mother of two beautiful kids. Recently our lives have been turned upside down as our kind and loving friend has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma and will be off of work for at least a year while she undergoes treatment.
