Dylan's Top Surgery Fund!

Hey everyone,

I come to you from within the cocoon of change, inviting you in as part of my community of support. On October 23rd I will be undergoing top surgery and beginning a larger transformation into my butterfly form. Transition has been one of the most gentle, grounding, comforting, and honestly...monumental yet mundane journeys of my entire life. In some ways, it feels like a new beginning. In other ways, it feels like an old familiar book being picked back up and jumping back in to where you left off years ago. I am eternally grateful to exist in this body, and that I was chosen to carry on the love and wisdom trans people have brought and continue bringing to this world.

This surgery marks the beginning of a new chapter of being fully present, heart closer to the world, and grounded in a body I am making my home within. As I heal, there are many ways my community can offer up support. Offering funds here which will be allocated below, letters and cards (private message me for mailing address), surprise flowers, prayers/protection/healing spells, and reading up not only on the issues that face trans people but the brilliance and expansive care practices of trans people themselves. Trans love is infinite and full of wonder. Trans love informed my teaching and learning practices. Trans love is how I embody my being-ness in the world no matter where I am. Trans love is my snail shell, a constant home which follows me on my path.

I am at peace with the surgery ahead, and cannot believe I am in such an immensely awe-inspiring moment in my life; one I had never imagined I'd reach. But here I am. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here with me.

Surgery funds include:

$400 - pre-op appointment and post-op check-ins

$3100 - surgery and hospital fees

Any additional funds received will be shifted towards any remaining medical bills and recovery funds to help me get nutritious and simple to cook meals/amenities as my body heals. Wishing I could hug you all and next time we do, you'll be closer to my heart too. Thank you thank you!
