Support for Savannah

If you are a member of the theater community in the Phoenix area, there's a good chance you know Savannah Alfred. With Savannah in your corner, you always have a cheerleader in the room. She seems to have a limitless energy supply and is always on the move: working, performing, training, being an amazing mother to her three children, and bringing a party with her wherever she goes.
When Savannah began to experience severe fatigue and a nasty cough a couple of weeks ago, she sought treatment and was admitted to the hospital. After a myriad of tests, a surgical procedure, and a few days of eating disgusting hospital food, Savannah was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. During this tumultuous time, Savannah is also performing in The Color Purple at The Phoenix Theatre Company (in addition to working her full-time job). She will continue to perform with TPTC until she begins treatment on April 12th.
Savannah has a long, difficult road ahead of her, both physically and financially. After a PET scan, she will have a port put into her chest for future treatment and lab work and will receive bi-weekly chemotherapy for six months. After that time, her medical team will assess her condition for their next steps.
It is essential that Savannah is able to focus on her treatment and recovery. However, with financial concerns looming ahead, she hopes to continue working as long as she is physically able.
It is my hope that we can give Savannah back a little bit of the energy that she has given to us over the years. Please consider contributing anything you can. Your donations will go towards living and medical expenses for Savannah and her children. Relieving her financial burden will make it possible for Savannah to rest, recover, and fight this thing.
Please share far and wide and give as you are able.
