Help support Joy & Cheryl through a difficult time

Hi, Joy & I are having a difficult spell. After the big tech company RIF in August 2023, Joy has been looking for a new position and even snagged interviews. Unfortunately, no job yet. We've gone through our savings and have reached the end of our rope. I've done okay at in person events but things took a down turn at the end of the year and have not picked up with my small business this year. I've been looking for a job as well (remote and/or part-time to accommodate by disabilities).

This month was covered by a generous friend who's been a huge source of support throughout. But they have their own issues to cope with at this time and so we hope to get assistance from others.

Joy is close to retirement age but not quite there so may be facing some ageism during this job hunt. She's got loads of IT experience and we are tapping into our networks to get new job leads and recommendations. We are hopeful but unfortunately, bills won't wait.

I've also put in resumes but having been out of the workforce for a while due to my various conditions, I'm having some difficulty finding suitable positions. For those that don't know us, I have Chronic Kidney Disease, diabetes, bulging disk and degenerative disk disease in my lumbar spine, arthritis, a heart murmur, depression, anxiety, scoliosis and chronic pain. I have a home-based jewelry making business which does bring in some money but not enough to cover our current needs.

The amount of this fundraiser should get us through the next couple of months as we both seek jobs and I have several in person vending events coming up which I hope will net some of these much needed funds.
