Medical expenses for Carl Gilbert

Hi Everyone

Our dear friend Carl is in critical condition and has left for South Africa today where he will receive emergency treatment at Netcare Garden City in Mayfair JHB.

Doctors initially suspected cancer and performed surgery on him without any results. They have since diagnosed him with (amongst other things) life threatening refractory sepsis, severe enterocolitis and complications as a result of the surgery.

Following the investigative surgery and hospital treatments Carl has now exhausted his medical insurance cover and we are looking to raise ZAR20,000 to assist with his treatment and medical fees (just over £1000)

Many of us know Carl and the Gilbert family from the days of Synergy and beyond, and we are reaching out for donations so we can collectively help with their medical expenses. No amount is too small and will be very much appreciated.

It's been a difficult decision by the family to disclose something so personal and we ask that you kindly keep Carl, the family and the medical experts in your prayers
