Jack and Ruthie's Home and Health

Hello, my name is Jack Ritchie. In 2011 I was diagnosed with a degenerated disk in my lower back between vertebra L3 and L4. This has lead to bone spurs, nerve damage, and I am losing the curvature of my spine. In addition to this, last summer I suffered a fall, due to the loss of feeling in my leg, which lead to a broken foot and and a knee injury. My knee still has fluid in it as well as a bone fragment floating around. All the medications I have been on over the years has left my stomach torn up. Recently it was discovered that I have advanced arthritis in addition to everything else. One doctor told me I have the body of an 85 year old, even though I am only 35. Because of all of this I have been unable to work since 2011.
My wife Ruthie had a partial hysterectomy a few years back which she is now suffering from complications. Since the doctor left her ovaries, she has developed cysts, some as big as a lime. Her bladder has fallen and she is also effected by endometriosis. These are causing her extreme pain which keep her from working as well. At her last doctor appointment she was informed that she would need another surgery to fix her bladder and to remove her ovaries. Today she went in for an ultrasound of her neck and jaw, as her doctor felt a lump and wanted it checked. At this time we don't know what it is but they found three masses.
Up until now we have been getting by with assistance from the state. That assistance ran out in October of 2014. I had to sell my car to pay for rent, bills, etc. That money is now gone. It looks like I will not have my SSI hearing until December. I have no idea how we are going to make it until then. We are already behind a month on everything in addition to medical costs popping up with all of our doctor visits. Which is what brought me here to GoFundMe.
The amount we are asking for would pay our rent through December. If we can just keep the roof over our head things would be a bit easier to deal with. If we are able to raise more that money would go directly to bills and medical costs. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
