Camp Sweeney Bound 2015

My name is Adrianna Moncibaiz and I am a Type 1 diabetic. I am now 16; I was diagnosed at the age of 5. I have continually battled taking control of my diabetes. Last year I was able to attend a camp for kids with Type 1 diabetes and it turned my world around. Because of this camp I was able to meet new people that are going through what I deal with every day and was able to meet and interact with a great medical staff. It has changed my life for the better. It not only helped me but hundreds of other kids. It allows us to meet one another and talk about what we can do to take better care of ourselves and manage our diabetes.My future plan is to become a counselor in order to continue helping others the way the Camp Sweeney family has helped me. My goal is to attend Camp Sweeney this year for the last time as a camper. My parents are contributing as much as they can however this camp is expensive but well worth it. With my other medical bills and medications that I require, being able to attend this camp is a privilege. Camp Sweeney was such a blessing to me and if I were able to attend this year I would again be blessed. If you are able to contribute towards helping me attend my last year as a camper, my family and I would be grateful. Thank you for helping me attend this camp geared for educating & supporting the many juvenile diabetics of this generation and many more to come.
