A life changed in minutes during a chiropractor visit
Donation protected
Anyone that knows Alyssa would tell you she is a “get in and get it done” type of person, who would sacrifice her own well being for someone in need. She was always busy working making sure everyone was taken care of and always had a smile on her face. Alyssa was healthy, driven, and cheerful. She is a mother of 3, wife, daughter, sister-in-law, niece, cousin, and friend to all. Alyssa was known as a person who respected you and made you feel valued. She worked for McLaren Hospice. She absolutely loved her job working for hospice.
Alyssa’s life changed in a matter of minutes. With some unforeseen circumstances during a chiropractor visit she suffered a dissected artery of the medulla, and a stroke. During the chiropractor visit, when the chiropractor adjusted her neck, the chiropractor dissected her vertebral artery, when the artery was dissected, it had no blood flow. Then she suffered in a stroke immediately after on the chiropractor table. She has lost feeling and muscle movement on one side of her body. She can no longer do the things she use to do as she is in a wheelchair.
She will require constant therapy, such as occupational, and physical therapy. She will need multiple doctor visits for health checks.
Loved ones have set up this GoFundMe page to cover the medical expenses, and intensive rehabilitation time for Alyssa. Alyssa lost her insurance due to her husband’s work closing the doors after 98 years. This will help Alyssa go to physical therapy and occupational therapy to get the help she needs. Please help Alyssa get the help she needs. We thank you for the donations and kindly ask that you keep Alyssa in your prayers and send her positivity to help her recover. This has been extremely hard on her little boys, her husband Emanuel and family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
