Tabitha Morton woke up and walked her dogs in the morning on Nov 8th  like any regular day. She'd seen a fire in the distance and looked up where it was. Pulga was far enough away from Paradise that she decided  not to worry.  Friends started calling her telling her to evacuate.  (She's evacuated 4 times in the 3 years she's been a resident.) 

She got her 2 dogs in the car, and grabbed a small bag with enough items for 3 days.  She thought to pack enough for her house sitting job incase they were kept out of evacuation zones for a few days. 

Surely it would be nothing more. Surely she'd be coming home.  Suddenly the sky became very dark and started raining ash.  Luckily Tabitha got out of Paradise before flames consumed the town. 

Tabitha's worst fears were confirmed yesterday by her landlord that the house and all of her belongings are gone.  Now Tabitha's whole life fits in a little bag.  Unfortunately she had no renters insurance.

I asked if I could start this for her. Tabitha isn't one to ask for help. She's strong and she's a hard worker.  Tabitha works at Enloe in the ICU. Shes a CNA/ Monitor tech.  She reads EKGs and works with critical care patients.  She told me that she's lucky to have a job. 

In the midst of this fire she has continued working because she better working and keeping her mind busy.  Yesterday hurt. The thought of starting over again feels impossible. Even having a job is a challenge because she's suddenly homeless along with thousands of others.  If your able to please help Tabitha with this fresh start.
