TAFF Unites: Teens Helping Teens Recover from the Eaton Canyon Fire

On January 8th, the Eaton Canyon Fire devastated the Altadena community, destroying homes and schools, including Eliot Arts Magnet Academy. In response, TAFF (Teens Against Fast Fashion) is proud to launch this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the "Altadena Girls" initiative, supporting teenage girls affected by this tragedy.

Who We Are:

We are Teens Against Fast Fashion (TAFF), a youth-led organization based in Miami, Florida. Our mission focuses on promoting sustainability and empowering teens through meaningful community-driven initiatives. While our primary efforts revolve around sustainable fashion, we are stepping up to help teens affected by this disaster.

Our Connection to Altadena Girls:

Our team was inspired by the incredible work of Avery Colvert, a 14-year-old who founded "Altadena Girls" to support teenage girls impacted by the fire. We have no direct personal connection to the recipients but are committed to assisting their efforts as fellow teens united by a cause.

How the Funds Will Be Spent:

Every dollar raised through this campaign will be sent directly to Altadena Girls via Pledge to. The funds will help provide essential items for teenage girls in the community, including:

New clothing, personal care items, and beauty products to help rebuild confidence. School supplies to replace what was lost in the fire. Resources that promote emotional and social support

We are committed to transparency in every step of this process. All funds raised will be transferred directly to "Altadena Girls" via the Pledge.to platform, ensuring they are used exclusively to support this initiative.
