Hello, we are Tai Chi Youth Group!

We are a youth-led organization that is driven to promote health and community engagement through Chinese martial arts, otherwise known as wushu. Over the years, we’ve attended many performances and competitions, such as the UN in 2017 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr1FOzSvCuI) and the 2022 New Year’s Eve Ball Drop (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsJd2sEPYO8). In the past, we have organized online exercise sessions and monthly themed events to provide exercise opportunities during the pandemic.

This May, we will be attending the National Team Trials competition in Lubbock, Texas! The Team Trials competition is a national-level tournament with teams from across the nation. Various events will be held at this competition, including Long Fist, Straight Sword, Broadsword, Tai Chi, Staff, and Spear. This competition is an amazing opportunity for our members not only to compete for the chance of placement onto the National Wushu Team, but also to learn from other athletes who come to the tournament. Last year, we had members who competed at the Pan American competition in Brazil as well as the World Junior Wushu Championships in Indonesia.

While these events are great opportunities for our students to improve, they are not cheap. We would be extremely grateful if you would be able to donate to Tai Chi Youth Group. All money gathered will be used for equipment, team jackets, and other possible expenses while we are competing. Thank you so much for the support!
