Taith Rett Syndrome Alaw Rett Syndrome Journey
Donation protected
We're proudly raising money and awareness for Alaw Rhosiar Wyn Morris who has been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a genetic disorder which mainly affects girls.
Alaw lives on Anglesey with her family and has been diagnosed in the spring of 2021.
Rett syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development, often resulting in severe mental and physical disability. It is said to affect one in 12,000 girls born each year but rarely seen in boys. Symptoms include difficulty with feeding, jerky limb movements, speech and mobility problems.
Although it is relatively rare, Rett Syndrome has had a huge effect on both Alaw and her family's lives and hopefully we will raise awareness of this genetic disorder and raise money in aid of her development. We would like for Alaw to be able to purchase much needed equipment to support her
