Taizley’s back surgery

Hi, my name is Buffy Parker. I’m fundraising money to help cover the out of pocket cost for my niece, Taizley’s back surgery. Taizley is 11yrs old & has moderate-severe scoliosis. Her Dr. was wanting to do surgery back in April due to the significant degree of curvature in her spine, however, her medical insurance denied coverage for her surgery 2x, stating that the curve(s) needed to be greater. Waiting would significantly limit her mobility even more & her parents & Dr. Knew it needed to be done as soon as possible. After a tough fight, lots of stress, multiple hours of gathering paperwork, making phone calls, several days waiting in limbo & many tears shed, the insurance finally approved coverage for the surgery. However, even with this Amazing news, there’s still the stresses of how to cover the portion her parents will be responsible for with their high deductible insurance plan.
