For over a year and a half, Allison Phillips has had numerous doctors appointments to monitor a nodule (spot) in her lung. As the nodules multiplied and continued to grow, they attempted to biopsy them two different times. Each time the biopsies were unsuccessful, puncturing her lung which resulted in additional hospital stays and medical treatment - still leaving her with no answers. The doctors said she was too young, she didn't have the symptoms or the signs and the statistics told them it wasn't cancer...
During her procedure on July 20, 2020, they weren't able to get the biopsy of the nodules, but the doctor took some lymph nodes for testing. The lymph nodes were tested and to everyone's surprise, it was cancer.
Allison was diagnosed with Stage 2 Non-Small Cell Adenocarcinoma with rare mutations. On August 11, 2020, Allison had her the right middle lobe of her lung removed. The doctors were happy with the procedure, but it didn't come without some additional issues.
Allison has since been upgraded to Stage 3 Lung Cancer. She begins chemotherapy this week for the next 4 months with radiation to follow. Through all of this Allison has remained positive, strong and courageous.
Allison is a single mom to Peyton and a small business owner. She has worked hard to keep her business going through all of this and take care of and provide for Peyton. As we all can expect, the medical bills have already begun to pile up. Allison has always been the first to give to others, so now I am asking for others to please give to Allison to help alleviate some of the financial burden so that she can focus on kicking cancers a$$!! Thank you all for your support and prayers for Allison, Peyton and her family. It truly is appreciated.
