2nd Take Back the Vote Conference

In July we watched as hackers attending the DefCon cybersecurity conference easily penetrated and manipulated thirty election machines currently in use in the US. We cannot continue to underestimate the importance of election security to our democracy. Nearly every computer security expert agrees that this crisis is only going to get worse. We nee to organize to make our elections secure, verified and public across the board—from registering, to voting, to counting, and recounting.
With this in mind, the the nonpartisan California Election Integrity Coalition (CEIC) is hosting its 2nd Annual National “Take Back The Vote” Conference on October 7th & 8th in Berkeley, CA. Over twenty nationally recognized leaders in the election integrity movement will be assembling from across the country. Computer scientists, election officials, and federal, state and local legislators will be joining them. They will be speaking, sharing ideas, debating the critical issues, solving difficult problems, and creating a strategy for the future.
We need your help. Most of the speakers are tireless but unpaid volunteers. They include Drs. Barbara Simons & David Jefferson (Verified Voting), John Brakey (AZ), Lulu Friesdat (NY), Jan BenDor (MI), Lu Aptifer (MA), Karen McKim (WI), Dr. Laura Pressley (TX) and more. We need to bring them to the conference to meet, to speak, and to organize. In order to do so, we need to cover the travel expenses for at least a dozen of them. Tickets will cover the expenses for the conference hall, equipment, etc, but we are asking that you contribute $20, $50, $100 or more so that these leading democracy advocates will have a chance to help strengthen our elections, our democracy.
If you can share air miles, please write to us soon at: [email redacted]
