Taken too young. Olivia’s family needs our help.
Donation protected
On October 6, 2021 every parents nightmare became a reality for my family. My little brother, Tony and his stronger than she knows wife, Brittany lost their 13 year old daughter Olivia unexpectedly. My forever niece, my brother’s ‘Peanut’ , my mom’s grandbaby, her uncle’s favorite ‘cool kid’. She was loved every day and will now be missed everyday. Especially by her brothers, Jackson age 9, Robert age 7 and Pixie, her cat.
All the planning in the world can’t prepare those left behind. Nobody plans for this kind of tragedy. None of us want to believe it can happen to us. Not to a beautiful, little girl whose very existence was a ray of light that you could hold close, squeeze and cover with kisses. But it has.
Olivia’s family is a one income, paycheck to paycheck family. Just like so many many of us. No shoeboxes of cash on the table or a secret stash under the mattress. The buckets of love they do have don’t pay the bills or the funeral expenses.
It takes a village to raise a child they say. But what does it take to lay one to rest? Olivia wasn’t just a girl in the world, she was our world. For my brother’s family the world is a dark, empty place right now. We can never replace what they have lost, but we CAN help to ease the pain in the darkness, we CAN be his light and we CAN carry them through these difficult times.
Donations will help with burial and memorial costs. They will keep the lights on at night when her little brothers fear the darkness and put food in their bellies when they feel the emptiness that her loss leaves behind. They will make the backpack of extra harsh burdens and sorrow that their parents carry now, one rock lighter. You can make a difference. Please help however you can.
