Taking Care of Traci

I met Traci in 2017 and she has been one of the greatest friends that I could ever ask for during the last six years. If you know Traci, you know that she is one of the strongest, smartest, and kindest individuals you could ever meet. She touches the lives of everyone around her and cares deeply for them.

Traci is deeply passionate about educational equity and has poured her time, energy, and love into creating Reve Prep in Houston. Not only is founding a public charter school one of the most challenging tasks she could possibly take on, she did it while being diagnosed with and battling colon cancer. Ever since 2020, Traci has been undergoing surgery, chemo, radiation, and so much more as she battled her cancer, however she is now in a state where the cancer has spread to her lungs and other organs.

This world is lucky to have Traci in it and it is heartbreaking that this incredible woman is now in home hospice with a collapsed lung. As Traci spends her time with her beautiful daughter and family, she is in need of support for medical care and to ensure her daughter is taken care of.

Traci is someone who would drop everything to support her friends and family and I hope her large network can come together to ensure that her family and she is supported during this very difficult time.
