Anyone that knows me knows that I have wanted to do a Tough Mudder for a long time..
It is actually happening! On the 19th September I will be putting myself through 25 challenging and kinda scary obstacles staggered through a 10 mile course.
It will involve me getting incredibly muddy, full of adrenalin and I will need a hell of a lot of determination to keep on going. Some of the obstacles will definitely push my limits and include the Electric Eel (think crawling in muddy water with live electric wires over your head), Shawshanked (falling from a great height into water), and my worst nightmare, the Cage Crawl (laying on my back in a water-filled trench, beneath a steel fence with only a few inches of air and needing to pull myself backwards along the trench for 60ft). Oh and not to mention an obstacle involving teargas!
I think all of that is worthy of a sponsor for an amazing cause! I'm currently training hard and raising money in aid of Four Paws, an animal welfare charity who campaign admirably to end animal suffering and improve welfare in many countries across the world.
They are a strong, global and independent voice for animals and their vision is a world where people treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding.
