Taking stress off of Zach so he can heal

Hello! Momma Amy here. Most of you know what is happening with my dear boy. But if not, here is the series of events.

On Monday Zach began having an allergic reaction to something. By Tuesday morning we told him to go to urgent care. They gave him some meds and sent him to his hotel room (he was working out of state) by Tuesday evening he was getting worse so he went to the ER. The ER treated him and got the hives under control. An hour and a half later, Zach was back in the ER in another full hive attack. They got that under control and the decision was made to have him come home. Last night I went up and checked on him before heading home. I ended up calling an ambulance as I watched his skin welt up in hives and his airway become compromised. He has been in the ER since 6pm last night. At 6:00am this morning they have made the decision to admit Zach as they can’t get whatever is happening under control. He is now packed with ice packs to cool his body from the hives and his breathing is becoming progressively worse. At this point we have no other answers. They are leaning towards a sudden allergy to his insulin as that is the only consistent thing he is receiving. We need all the thoughts and prayers you can send. We are in crisis mode for sure.

Zachary is the sole income of the house. At this point, we have no idea how long he will have to stay in the hospital but they can’t release him until they can find an insulin that his body won’t react to. We are now day 5 of this horrific nightmare and we are still taking each minute as it comes.
