Help Takoma Thunder Travel to Nationals

The Takoma Thunder 2009 U14 Boys Team from Maryland has secured the Presidents Cup National Championship and must make their way to Wichita, Kansas in TWO weeks! This is the first time in history that Takoma Thunder will have representation at the national level! This team is led by coach Walter Medrano and is composed of 17 diverse players with a passion and drive for soccer. Takoma Thunder has players from the following high schools: Albert Einstein, Bethesda Chevy Chase, Montgomery Blair, Northwood, Wheaton, DC International and St. John College High School. As a small club in Silver Spring Maryland, Takoma Thunder allows youth boys of different socioeconomic backgrounds to be part of a competitive team. Our boys have fought hard to be here and we want to ensure that every player on the team, regardless of their financial situation or zip code can make the journey to Kansas. Due to the short notice of making the finals, we need your help URGENTLY, any amount is appreciated!! Funds will be used to support travel and food expenses. The estimated expenses are $1,300 per player.
