TĀKOUT store looted & destroyed during riots.
On June 1st, our small business, much like many of our neighbors in the Bronx - Grand Concourse corridor, was vandalized, looted and completely destroyed.
Just like you, all of our team and family members stand in opposition of the injustice, racism, police brutality and the murder of George Floyd, that many of the looters saw as an opportunity to divide our community. We know that this is not what the protests are about today. More importantly, this is not what our community stands for.
We’ve been a part of the Bronx community as a local business for over 13 years. You’ve shopped with us, and together we’ve been a part of the drastic improvements our neighborhood has fought for over these years. We won’t let destruction from one night on June 1st, define who we are.
We are looking to rebuild, and rebuild stronger. And if you can, we ask that you join and help us in this process. Help us get back on our feet so we can continue to serve and be a part of this community.
100% of the funds raised will go directly towards supporting our team members, reconstructing our physical space, restoring our inventory and assisting our neighboring businesses who are facing the same challenges.
Thank you.
Please stay safe.
