Taleisha fighting Central Giant Cell Granuloma
Donation protected
A year ago Taleisha was diagnosed with Central giant cell granuloma. Taleisha is the youngest in Australia to have this aggressive rare tumour. Her tumour is located in the front of her jaw.
The original tumour was removed December 2022. 10 weeks ago she had to have her gallbladder removed.
Unfortunately this week Taleisha has had a MRI which has confirmed that this aggressive tumour has started growing back and is already 1cm in size. Surgery has been scheduled 4th December.
This is a very financial and emotionally stressful time for Taleisha’s family. Her mum, Amanda has a surgery for herself also scheduled 10 days after Taleisha’s in December and will be unable to drive during the school holidays while she recovers herself and now not knowing what surgery and recovery will entail for Taleisha.
Amanda has 5 other children including a toddler to care for as well.
We have had a few people asking how they can help. If you can help ease the burden while this family try to get through this difficult time anything you can spare in these trying times would be very much appreciated.
Grocery vouchers, snacks for kids or anything else you think could help would also be welcome and appreciated.
UPDATE 27-11-23
Taleisha and her family are so overwhelmed with your generosity say thank you very much for all the help.
UPDATE 4-12-23 - SURGERY DAY
Taleisha underwent surgery today for removal of her tumour. During surgery another 2 tumours were found and all 3 have been removed.
