Am. Samoa Suicide Hotline Awareness Campaign

We are raising money to launch a suicide hotline awareness campaign on the island of American Samoa. Too many teenagers on the island are committing suicide because they don’t know where to turn for help. We want to spread the word about the newly-created American Samoa suicide hotline through stickers and silicone bracelets that will be distributed to high school and college kids across the island. If we raise enough funds, we will work with local authorities to purchase billboard space and get businesses to hang up flyers in their windows that display the hotline numbers.

We want to let kids across the island know that they should TALK BEFORE THEY ACT.  We want them to know that there is help. And especially that there is hope.  We want them to have the hotline number with them at all times.

Our family is currently reeling from the suicide of a teenage relative in Mesepa .  Our goal is to save lives and ensure that no other family on the island has to experience that kind of pain and loss again.
